great looking boot, just what i wanted. i googled usa/uk sizes and
ordered a size up ,unfortunatly they are slightly too big, even with an inner
sole. The upper leather is also prone to flap around a bit under jeans and
seems thin compared to the lowers.I wes looking for boots that were strong but
not clumpy with big soles/2inch heels and these fit the bill perfectly

Comments about Boulet Men's Motorcycle 14" Boots:
I usually wear EEE to EEEE and when I saw that these
boots run small I was worried. They are a little snug but very comfortable. The
leather is soft and beautiful and I can see they are very well made. I am very
happy with these boots!

I
really had my hopes up on these boots. They are very expensive (Not on STP)
When I first opened the box, I was surprised at how BIG they looked. The sole
sticks out at least 1/2" wider than the foot bed. Still I had hopes. When
I first pulled them on, I could not believe that anyone could make a boot so
uncomfortable. The Heel cup is cut WAY too low and cuts into the back of my
heel. Also it protrudes through the leather covering in such a way that it will
certainly wear through the leather in no time. It made the boots very hard to
pull on because the heel of my foot catches on the top edge of the heel cup.
STILL, I thought just maybe they could work...so I wore them around inside the
house for an hour or so. By the time I took them off, my toes on both feet hurt
so bad..I have sworn off EVER trying or buying another pair of Boulet Boots.
Buyer Beware! There is a chance that I got a defective pair and am trying to
get STP to pay return shipping because of that possibility. Go with a reputable
brand. And no, they were not too small for me. If anything, they were 1/2 size
too large as I had quite a bit of heel slippage. These were just funky all the
way around.
Chippewa Boots
Their
Statement: Chippewa Boots was founded in October 1901 in
Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The name comes from the Indian tribe of the region.
The company's mission from day one was to manufacture the finest boots and
shoes in the United States. It employed 175 employees, mainly women, and
produced 1,200 pairs daily. Chippewa Boots started out as a company that
produced a top end logging boot for area camps in the pulp and paper industry.
Timber was in high demand at the turn of the century and the need for wood and
pulp drove men to the forests in the upper Midwest and Canada. Recognizing the
need for extraordinary footwear Chippewa was there with its Logger Boot to shod
thousands of skilled men who took dangerous and risky jobs as lumberjacks.
These iconic workers required sharp saws, honed axes, strong ropes and sturdy
Chippewa boots. With the right tools two lumberjacks could take down over an
acre of white pine and hemlock in one day. In the 1930s sales expanded
and volume increased tremendously when Chippewa introduced work shoes and
Engineer Boots for the oil fields of the day. The company known for developing
and inventing the Logger Boot created the Engineer Boot by combining a
stovepipe leg shaft over an English Riding boot last. They were worn by land
surveyors, which is likely where the name "Engineer Boot" came from.
Today, the Chippewa Engineer Boot is the footwear of choice for motorcyclists
worldwide because they offer great leg protection and long wearing Vibram®
outsoles that stand up to paved roadways. Vibram® is the world leader in
high performance rubber soles, targeted to the outdoor, work, recreation,
fashion, repair and orthopedic markets. For more than 70 years, the famous
yellow octagon that identifies our brand has been synonymous with quality,
performance, safety, innovation and design. Since revolutionizing the sport
with the creation of the first rubber sole for mountain climbing in the '30s,
Vibram has positioned itself as the market standard. Vibram soles, created with
a desire to increase safety and protection levels, are the result of a constant
commitment to research and development. They proved to be irreplaceable
companions during many extreme expeditions: conquering Everest, K2 and almost
all the highest peaks in the world; distinguishing themselves in competitions
and transoceanic regattas like the America's Cup and the Vendee Globe
Challenge, and taking innovative design concepts into fashion and recreation.

i
ordered a size 6 based on everyone's positive comments and fell in love until i
tried them on - even with my thickest socks on they were very long, the arch
support was back too far - about half under my heel, and the tongue was very
still and bruised my ankle during the few hours i wore them around the house.
quite uncomfortable for me and i was sad because they are really good looking
boots.

These
boots fit right out of the box. Better than the $189 ones I bought from a major
retailer. Not too stylish but they are comfortable for extended periods of
walking over rought terrain.

The
flap on the tongue rubs constantly - I see no way that this would get better
over time, since it is a design issue. The pair I received also had one shoe
darker (treated) than the other. I had the return the product, which was a
bummer. This was the best product I found for winter. Still searching.
Double-H
Their Statement: Double-H Boots
Hand-crafted at our Martinsburg, PA factory, our American-made boots pass
through many hands - and are inspected just as often - before they can be
called Double-H Boots. Majorly sponsored by Larry the Cable Guy. They
have an awesome virtual tour of their factory at their website but they don’t
have any discount there. Double-H Boots began in 1955 in Richland,
Pennsylvania. The original factory location was an area shoe company that had
other facilities in the Reading area and had no future needs for the plant in
Richland. The H.H. Brown Shoe Company purchased the building, looking for a
location to manufacture western footwear. The Richland facility was named the
Richland Shoe Co. and began producing cowboy boots and work footwear. Shortly after
production, a competitor introduced a new style called a "harness
boot." H.H. Brown introduced a similar product called a "snoot
Boot" and made it at Richland Shoe for a lower cost. For many years, it
was almost the total production of the Richland plant. Richland shared sales
personnel with the Carolina Shoe Company and for some time had a single sales
manager. The western side at Richland continued to grow and a separate sales
force and management was created. By the 1970s, western boots had become the
majority of boots produced. The Richland plant was the first in the United
States to manufacture western boots with a safety toe, the first boots to pass
the now standard Class 75 ANSI tests for safety footwear. When computerized
fancy stitch machines hit the shoe market, the line expanded into the dress
western boot business. In 1981, it was necessary to expand again. A facility
was located in Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, that was large enough for
manufacturing and warehouse space. In 1993 the name was changed to Double-H
Boots to reflect the company heritage of H.H. Brown.Today, the majority of the
work and dress western styles are still manufactured at the Womelsdorf
facility. The casual and fashion lines of Double-H are produced overseas. In
the spring of 2002, Double-H Boots purchased the Acme Boot Company and rolled
out a new line of men's, women's and children's boots under the Acme name. In
1995, Double-H debuted the Sonora line of western inspired fashion footwear for
women. Sonora is a seasonal fashion line with launches twice a year. Plans are
to expand the line to include men’s fashion boots in 2006. Double-H continues a
relationship started in 1997 with the Professional Bull Riders (PBR)
organization and sponsors several bull riders and rodeo athletes. Double-H is
also affiliated with national and local rodeo associations and events.
